Ukraine and Norway extended the “transport visa-free regime” until the end of the year

The liberalization of freight transportation between Ukraine and Norway has been officially extended until December 31, 2025.
The agreement was reached on June 5 during a meeting of the Mixed Commission between the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine and the Ministry of Transport of Norway.
This means that freight transportation between the countries, as well as transit, remains possible without special permits if the truck meets the Euro-5 standard or higher.
The agreement also provides for the possibility of automatic extension of this liberalization after 2025.
The Ministry of Development reminded that a driver who wants to take advantage of the conditions of the “transport visa-free regime” must have a certificate of the environmental class of the vehicle.
Ukraine and Norway first introduced the “transport visa-free regime” in August 2023.
The decision to extend it was the result of negotiations that took place in May during the International Transport Forum in Leipzig.
Currently, Ukraine has liberalized freight transportation conditions with 35 countries, including the EU.
Earlier, USM reported that the transport visa-free regime between Ukraine and the EU was extended until the end of the year.
