A ferry complex and container terminal will be built in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi port

The development of the Bilhorod- Dnistrovskyi port, in particular, involves work within the Middle Corridor.
This was reported by the head of the Bilhorod- Dnistrovskyi port, Oksana Kiktenko.
According to her, the Middle Corridor will receive a single route operator, which will be managed by companies from China, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
“The shareholders of the joint venture Middle Corridor Multimodal Ltd, created by the railway operators of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Georgia, at an extraordinary general meeting agreed on the accession of China Railway Container Transportation LLC (a subsidiary of China Railway Container Transport Co., Ltd) to the JV. Its goal is to become the sole operator of this route,” the message says.
The general meeting of the shareholders of the JV was held in early August in Baku. The meeting discussed the development of the Middle Corridor, digitalization of processes, implementation of the Roadmap for eliminating “bottlenecks” and other relevant areas of cooperation.
In particular, an agreement was reached on the implementation of joint monitoring of container train transit times along the route.
The head of the Bilhorod- Dnistrovskyi port recalled that within the framework of the work of the Middle Corridor, the Bilhorod-Dniestrovskyi port signed a memorandum with APM Terminals Poti (a division of Maersk).
“The development of the Bilhorod- Dnistrovskyi port involves the construction of a road-rail ferry complex (ARFC) and a container terminal,” Oksana Kiktenko emphasized.
