A container terminal has been opened in the Kyiv region, which plans to connect the ports of Great Odesa with EU ports

The first phase of the production and logistics complex “Container Terminal Fastiv” was opened in Fastiv.
This was reported by Kyiv Customs.
Currently, the terminal is equipped with two railway tracks and a container yard. The terminal’s throughput capacity is 19,000 TEU per year, but in the future its throughput should reach 55,000 TEU.
It is also noted that the location and technical capabilities of the terminal allow organizing regular container routes both to the ports of Ukraine (in particular, Odessa) and to European ports – Gdansk, Hamburg, Trieste and others, which opens up additional opportunities for exporters and importers.
Earlier, USM said that the former Olimpex terminal in the port of Odessa is planned to be launched this fall.
