USPA to purchase oil recovery vessel for ports on the Danube

The new vessel will be used to collect oil products and garbage, to localize fires and as a tugboat-edging vessel.

This is reported by the Institute of Danube Studies with reference to the tender on Prozorro.

The State Enterprise “Ukrainian Sea Ports Administration” (USPA) has announced a tender for the purchase of a new multifunctional vessel, which will significantly enhance the environmental safety and technical readiness of Ukrainian ports on the Danube.

The expected delivery date is by December 31, 2026. The tender documentation indicates that the construction of the vessel is possible at Ukrainian enterprises.

The purchase is taking place within the framework of the international project RELINC (“Restoration of Basic Logistics Infrastructure and Network Connectivity”), which is being implemented with the financial support of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).

The oil recovery vessel will operate in the ports of Izmail, Reni and Ust-Dunaysk. Previously, the USPA signed a contract to purchase a front-end wheel loader for over $200,000.
