USPA and Baltic Ports Organization discussed the development of new transport corridors

The Head of the USPA held an online meeting with the leadership of the Baltic Sea Ports Organization.
The meeting took place within the framework of the Baltic Ports Conference in Gdansk, the USPA reported.
Oleksandr Semirga joined it online and discussed with BPO representatives the development of new transport corridors and logistics solutions that can strengthen Ukraine’s connections with European ports.
Semirga noted that as a result of the war, Ukraine lost some of its logistics routes, so the USPA is working on forming new directions for cargo flows and finding effective ways to cooperate with partners in order to maintain transportation volumes and expand the presence of Ukrainian ports in global supply chains.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the security situation and the work of Ukrainian ports during the war, in particular their key role in ensuring stable exports of Ukrainian products to 55 countries around the world. Cooperation with the Baltic Ports Organization (BPO), which unites more than 50 port administrations and companies of the Baltic region, opens up new opportunities for strengthening interaction between European ports and developing sustainable maritime logistics.
BPO Secretary General Bohdan Oldakovsky noted the high level of professionalism of Ukrainian port workers and emphasized the importance of developing partnerships.
USM previously reported that the USPA is starting strategic cooperation with the ports of the Baltic Sea.
