Ukrainian drones attacked the Russian port of Temryuk in the Krasnodar Krai

Fires engulfed a gas terminal in a port on the Sea of Azov and an oil refinery in the Samara region — both facilities are of strategic importance for ensuring the rear and the army of the Russian Federation.

On the night of December 5, Ukrainian drones attacked two key facilities of Russia’s fuel infrastructure at once — the seaport of Temryuk in the Krasnodar Territory and the Syzran Oil Refinery in the Samara Region. This is reported by “Militarnyi”.

Both strikes caused large-scale fires, confirmed by video and reports from local authorities.

In the port of Temryuk, located on the Taman Peninsula near the Sea of Azov, a terminal of the company “Maktren-Nafta”, which specializes in the transshipment of liquefied hydrocarbon gases, is on fire.

According to the Russian operational headquarters, the UAV strike damaged elements of the port’s infrastructure, which caused a fire. Dozens of rescuers and special equipment are working at the scene.

Videos of the fire quickly spread on social media. The Russian side confirmed the attack and the damage.

The Syzran refinery, owned by Rosneft, was also targeted by drone strikes. Local residents reported a series of explosions and gunfire after 2 a.m. The plant, with a capacity of almost 9 million tons of oil per year, supplies fuel to the central regions of Russia, including military units.

This is at least the seventh attack on this refinery in 2025. According to experts, such a systematic attack significantly complicates the operation of the enterprise and the supply of fuel, including for the needs of the Russian army.

Recently, USM reported that the CPC berth in Novorossiysk was disabled after an attack by naval drones.
