Defense Intelligence doctors operated on a seriously wounded soldier in the open sea

The picture is illustrative.

Specialists from the surgical team of the Department of Active Operations of the Defense Intelligence of the Mod performed an extremely complex operation in the open sea.

Medics operated on a seriously wounded soldier who had been in cold water for some time, reports Army.Inform.

The operation was performed on a platform in the middle of the open sea. The doctors were preparing for the arrival of the wounded soldier so as not to lose a single minute, because the soldier’s condition was complicated by the fact that he had been in cold water for some time.

A specialist from the surgical team with the call sign “Tocini” said that the time of applying tourniquets was later than it could have been – this increased blood loss.

One of the participants in the operation added that the patient was under supervision the entire time before meeting with doctors on site, thanks to combat medics in the forward units.

The soldiers applied tourniquets to the wounded soldier and stopped the bleeding. Next came the most difficult stage — transferring the wounded man from one platform to another.

The soldier had extremely serious injuries: mine-explosive trauma, amputation, massive blood loss, hemorrhagic shock, and craniocerebral trauma. Thanks to coordinated work, the wounded man’s condition was stabilized.

Instead of the allotted hour, the doctors performed all the manipulations in 45 minutes. Currently, the wounded man is undergoing rehabilitation, training, and learning to walk on a prosthesis.

Recall that earlier, the Defense Intelligence  told how many Russian ships were destroyed by Magura drones.
