The European Commission will organize an event in Brussels for potential concessionaires of the port of Chornomorsk

The European Commission will organize an event in Brussels for potential investors in the port of Chornomorsk.
This was reported by the Ministry of Development.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine hosted a meeting of the Ministry of Development with representatives of Ukrainian and international business, dedicated to the implementation of the public-private partnership project in the port of Chornomorsk.
“We have launched a transparent investor selection procedure — this is a clear signal of Ukraine’s openness to investment and the irreversibility of reforms in the port sector. For the community, this means stable operation of the port, new development opportunities and a predictable future for the region,” said First Deputy Minister Alena Shkrum.
She also announced the holding of a special event for potential investors in Brussels on January 27, organized by the European Commission.
The acceptance of applications for participation in the competition began on December 20 and will last until March 4. Then, the competition commission, with the participation of representatives of relevant ministries, the community of the city of Chornomorsk and trade unions, will determine the list of prequalified participants who will be admitted to participate in the competitive dialogue.
The competition will take place in three stages.
1. At the prequalification stage, participants who meet the key requirements will be selected. This includes financial capacity, experience in managing logistics facilities of a similar scale, as well as experience in modernizing port infrastructure. Also, at this stage, the absence of ties with the aggressor state, sanctioned companies, offshore companies, etc. will be checked.
2. Next, all prequalified participants will be sent a draft of the competition terms and conditions and a partnership agreement so that they can provide their comments and proposals. The comments received will be analyzed. After that, the competition commission will approve the final version of the documents, which will be transferred to the participants for the preparation and submission of competitive proposals.
3. Participants admitted to the competitive dialogue will submit their proposals. They will be evaluated according to technical and financial criteria. A contract is concluded with the winner, the terms of which are fixed and cannot be changed.
Earlier, USM reported that the concession of the port of Chornomorsk has already attracted the interest of more than 40 international companies.
