The transfer of grain wagons across the western borders has slowed down in almost all directions

Previous export volumes are preserved only in the Hungarian direction.
As of January 22, the average daily transfer of grain and meal through western crossings from Ukraine decreased to 169 wagons. This was reported by Valery Tkachev, Deputy Director of the Department of Transportation Technology and Commercial Work of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, Elevatorist writes.
This figure is 8.6% (–16 wagons) less than in December. Thus, 22.9 wagons of grain are sent to Slovakia daily (–8.1 compared to December), to Poland — 7.8 (–4.1), towards Romania — 5.1 (–2.8).
The exception is the Hungarian direction: it remains the leader in the acceptance of Ukrainian grain by rail and increased to 58.4 wagons per day, which is 6.8 more month-on-month.
Meanwhile, low supply and logistics failures have raised corn prices in ports.
