Shelling of ports leads to accumulation of about 10 million tons of grain, — Ministry of Economy

Russian shelling of port infrastructure affects the pace of grain exports from Ukraine and leads to the accumulation of products.

This was stated in an interview with RBC-Ukraine by Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture Taras Vysotsky, reports Latifundist.

He specified that in certain periods, due to attacks on ports, monthly shipments are reduced by 20-30%. This leads to the formation of a residue of unsold products on the market, the volume of which can reach 10 million tons.

Vysotsky noted that this is not critical for the market balance, but the economic effect is still noticeable.

Earlier, USM reported that last year the Russians damaged 39 ships in the ports of Ukraine and in the Black Sea.
