Two ships collided in the Gulf of Finland: both were heading to Russia

Russia has reported a collision between two ships in the Gulf of Finland. Both dry cargo ships were heading to the Russian port of Ust-Luga.
The accident occurred on February 7. There were no reports of injuries or pollution, MarineTraffic reported.
After the collision, the Maltese-flagged Glyfada remained at the scene while authorities assessed potential damage. The Portuguese-flagged dry cargo ship Aeolian Fortune continued its voyage to the Russian port of Ust-Luga.
USM previously reported that the MSC container ship caught fire on its approach to St. Petersburg due to an explosion in the engine room.
