In February, Ukrzaliznytsia increased grain loading to 85.2 thousand tons/day

Since February 10, the average daily load has been above 100 thousand tons, and the peak fell on February 15 — 112.5 thousand tons.
JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” increased the average daily load of grain to 85.2 thousand tons in February. This was reported by UZ representative Valeriy Tkachev, writes Elevatorist.
Thus, starting from February 10, the average daily load indicator exceeds 100 thousand tons per day, and on February 15 it reached 112.5 thousand tons.
In total, 1.64 million tons of grain were transported by rail in 17 days of February. This is 6% more than in the same period in January, but 3% less than in February last year.
In export traffic, UZ transported 1.49 million tons of grain — an indicator 7% higher than in January and 1.2% more than in February last year.
The main export flow goes towards seaports – 91%, while 9% of grain is exported through western border crossings.
The day before, USM reported that after a surge in attacks in December, Ukrainian ports were able to ship only about 75% of the planned volumes.
