Russia attacked the port and energy infrastructure of the Odesa region

The strikes caused fires on the territory of enterprises and infrastructure facilities, which were quickly extinguished.
On the night of March 17, the Russian Federation attacked Izmail with drones. The strikes damaged energy, industrial and port infrastructure facilities, as well as residential buildings, reported the city’s mayor, Andriy Abramchenko.

Due to damage to the energy infrastructure, power outages occurred in some settlements. Critical facilities were switched to backup power. At the same time, the city is provided with water supply, sewage and heat supply.

After the attack, emergency services began working on the ground to eliminate the consequences of the shelling and record the damage. DTEK Odesa Electric Grids power engineers are working to restore power supply to the damaged facilities. Fortunately, there were no deaths or injuries.

As USM wrote, the day before in Odesa, they discussed strengthening the protection of port infrastructure.
