Grain export rates from Ukraine remain 23% lower than last year

Since the beginning of the 2025/26 marketing year, Ukraine has exported 24.21 million tons of grain and leguminous crops.

This is reported by Elevatorist, citing data from the State Customs Service.

As of March 16, Ukraine has shipped 24.21 million tons of grain and leguminous crops to foreign markets, which is 23.1% less than the same period of the previous marketing year.

Corn traditionally accounts for the largest share in exports. Since the beginning of the season, its deliveries have reached 13.03 million tons, which is 3.07 million tons, or 19.1%, less year-on-year.

Wheat exports amounted to 9.41 million tons. Compared to last year, this is 3.32 million tons, or 26.1%.

The deepest reduction among the main crops was recorded for barley. Its exports since the beginning of the season amounted to 1.39 million tons, which is 804 thousand tons, or 36.7%, less than a year earlier.

Rye exports remain almost zero — only 0.2 thousand tons since the beginning of the marketing year, which means a drop of 98.1% compared to the previous season. There have been no deliveries of this crop in March yet.

Flour exports reached 46.2 thousand tons, which is 2 thousand tons, or 11.3%, less than last year.

In contrast, as USM reported the day before, Ukraine’s agricultural exports at the beginning of 2026 increased in value by 9.3%.
