Details emerge about Russian ship with stolen Ukrainian grain seized in Israel

Recall that earlier, the port of Haifa (Israel) received the Russian bulk carrier Abinsk, which was transporting more than 43 thousand tons of wheat from the occupied territories of Ukraine.
As reported by Kateryna Yaresko, a journalist for the SeaKrime project of the Peacemaker Center, the grain for loading the ship was delivered from temporarily occupied Ukrainian ports. At the same time, the ship’s AIS is turned off, and information about its movement is missing on the port’s website. Because of this, it is currently difficult to establish its exact location.
It is noted that this is not the first such case. In 2023, grain was reported to be delivered to Israel from the port of Kavkaz, but then the ship was not accepted at the Israeli port.
This voyage, according to the source, used a common scheme: grain is delivered by small vessels from the ports of the Sea of Azov or from Crimea, for example, Sevastopol, Kerch and Berdyansk, after which it is reloaded onto vessels heading to Israel.
At the same time, collecting evidence in such cases is complicated by forging documents, hiding loading ports, disabling AIS, and other methods of avoiding vessel identification.
USM previously reported that Israel had accepted a Russian ship carrying stolen Ukrainian wheat.
