Wheat prices in Ukrainian ports increased despite decline in the domestic market

In ports, food wheat rose in price to $203–211/t, feed wheat to $192–203/t CPT-port. The export market provided support.

Wheat prices in Ukrainian ports increased, despite the downward dynamics in the domestic market. This was reported by APK-Inform.

In ports, food wheat rose in price by $1–4/t — to $203–211/t CPT-port. Feed wheat also added $1–4/t and formed within $192–203/t. Support for prices was provided by an increase in the export market.

In contrast, the dynamics in the domestic market were the opposite. Demand prices for grade 2 wheat and feed decreased by UAH 200–400/t — to UAH 9,100–10,500/t and UAH 8,300–9,900/t CPT, respectively. The pressure was exerted by active harvests and restrained demand.

The pace of trade and purchasing activity last week remained low. Most processors worked on previously formed grain volumes and expected a more active arrival of wheat from the new harvest.

The day before, USM wrote that Poland would not lift the ban on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products.
