Ukrainian ports processed 42.4 million tons of cargo in the first half of 2026

According to the results of the first half of 2026, Ukrainian seaports processed 42.4 million tons of cargo, exceeding last year’s figures.
The basis of cargo flow was agricultural products – 23.6 million tons, its volumes increased by 20% compared to the first half of 2025, the USPA reported.
This result was achieved thanks to the joint work of port workers, farmers, carriers, sailors – all participants in the logistics process and the Ukrainian military, who ensure the safety of shipping every day.
At the same time, Russia continues systematic attacks on civilian port infrastructure. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 1,002 port infrastructure facilities have been damaged or partially destroyed, 221 civilian vessels have been damaged, and 283 civilians have been injured.
The attacks became especially intense in July. In the first two weeks of the month alone, Russia carried out 23 strikes on Ukrainian ports and 17 attacks on civilian vessels. As a result of these attacks, 11 people were killed and seven more were injured. Among the victims were port workers, employees of enterprises whose activities are related to the work of the maritime industry, as well as foreign citizens – members of the crews of civilian vessels.
“Ukrainian ports continue to operate despite constant attacks. This is the result of the professionalism and courage of people who ensure the work of the maritime industry and our Defense Forces. But behind each successful voyage and each exported ton there is an extremely high price. Russia is deliberately attacking civilian infrastructure, peacekeepers and ship crews, grossly violating international law and the principle of freedom of navigation,” said the head of the State Enterprise “USPA” Mykola Kravchuk.
Earlier, USM reported that a new Russian attack damaged the Kernel sunflower oil transshipment terminal in the Odesa region.
