The government has reduced minimum export prices for agricultural products due to problems with maritime logistics

The Cabinet of Ministers has temporarily adjusted the minimum allowable export prices for certain types of agricultural products to prevent the suspension of grain and oilseed exports.
This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Koretskyi.
The decision was the first step within the framework of an emergency package of support for farmers due to Russian attacks in the Black Sea. The adjusted prices will be valid during the period of stabilization of the situation.
According to the Prime Minister, the previously established minimum prices have become economically unattainable for concluding contracts due to the increase in the cost of logistics and the fall in domestic purchase prices.
The government expects that the changes will help agricultural producers resume sales and exports of products. The decision was previously agreed with representatives of the industry.
Koretsky also instructed to urgently prepare a plan for the development of Ukrainian agricultural products in order to increase the volume of its production and processing within the country.
The government is also currently preparing additional measures to stabilize the agricultural sector.
