Ukraine considers Polish ports as an alternative to exports through Great Odesa, — Ministry of Agrarian Policy

Ukraine and Poland discussed the possibility of increasing the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products through Polish ports amid Russian attacks on the ports of Great Odesa.

This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy following a meeting with representatives of the Polish Embassy in Ukraine.

Among the possible routes, the ports of Gdansk, Gdynia, Szczecin and Świnoujście are being considered. At the same time, the parties should assess the cost and economic feasibility of such exports.

Increasing the throughput capacity of railway and road crossings for the transit of Ukrainian products is also being discussed.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy noted that due to problems with sea exports in November, the deficit in crop storage capacity may range from 7.5–8 million to 11 million tons.

Separately, the parties discussed financing for farmers who, due to difficulties with exports, may face a deficit in working capital for autumn field work and the next sowing season.
