Zelenskyy told how many ships enter and leave the ports of Great Odesa every day

According to the president, despite Russian attacks on port infrastructure, shipping in the Great Odesa area continues.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that at the moment it is impossible to talk about a complete blockade of the Black Sea by Russia. The head of state said this on August 24 at a press conference following the summit of the Coalition of the Willing in Kyiv, Ukrinform reports.

“Today, there is no total blockade, there is an attempt at a total blockade, but three or four ships a day enter and leave Greater Odessa. Despite the fact that they are attacking the port infrastructure,” Zelenskyy noted.

According to him, Ukraine, together with its partners, is considering several options for further ensuring the security of shipping and unblocking the Black Sea.

“Several countries will work on this. This is both a negotiation process, the negotiation track will be with the “Russians,” and it is also protection in the format of strengthening the air defense of the grain corridor,” the president said.

At the same time, Russian attacks have already significantly affected Ukrainian agricultural exports. According to the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotskyi, in August Ukraine exported only about 20% of its potential grain volume due to logistics problems.

The restrictions on the operation of Black Sea ports are also affecting the world market. In particular, wheat prices in Europe at the end of August approached three-year highs against the backdrop of attacks on Black Sea infrastructure.
