From September 1, Maersk changes tariffs for container transportation between Ukraine and Gdansk

Maersk Ukraine has warned customers that from September 1, 2026, tariffs for container rail transportation between Ukrainian terminals and the Polish port of Gdansk (DCT) will change.

This was reported by the company’s press service.

New import rates apply to new import applications (by the date of receipt of the Delivery order from 01.09.2026), according to the instructions. New export rates apply to new applications (by the date of receipt of the equipment release).

Thus, the cost of exporting standard dry cargo in 20-foot containers will range from $1,400 to $1,950 per container, depending on the departure terminal. For 40-foot containers, the rates will be within $1,500–2,300.

The export tariff from Mostyska to Gdansk will be $1,400 per 20-foot container and $1,500 per 40-foot container. Transit time is about two days.

From Kyiv, Ternopil, Klevan and Vinnytsia, the export rate will be $1,800 per container, regardless of its size. Delivery time to Gdansk, depending on the terminal, is 5–8 days.

The most expensive of these destinations are transportation from Dnipro-Liske, Zaporizhia and Kharkiv. For a 20-foot container, the rate will be $1,950, for a 40-foot container — $2,300. Transit time from Dnipro is estimated at 12 days, from Zaporizhia and Kharkiv — 14 days.

Import rates from Gdansk will be from $1,500 to $1,950 for a 20-foot container and from $2,000 to $2,600 for a 40-foot container, depending on the Ukrainian terminal.

The company noted that in order to ensure proper control over the implementation of applications, representatives of the intermodal department should be indicated in the correspondence.

Recall that in early August 2026, Maersk announced the launch of a temporary railway service between Ukrainian terminals and Constanta against the background of the situation in the ports of the Odesa region.
