Maersk updated rates for container transportation between Gdansk and Ukraine

Maersk has updated its container shipping rates between its Gdansk DCT terminal in Poland and a number of Ukrainian rail terminals.

The new rates will be effective from October 1, 2026, the company said.

Depending on the direction, container type and station, the rate will range from $1,500 to $2,600 per container.

The lowest import rate is set on the Gdansk-Mostyska route: $1,500 for a 20-foot container and $2,000 for a 40-foot container. Exports in the reverse direction will cost $1,600 and $1,800, respectively.

For Ternopil, imports will be $1,800/2,300, exports $2,000/2,200 for 20- and 40-foot containers, respectively.

On the route to Kyiv-Liska, import rates will be $1950/2500, and export rates will be $2000/2200.

Imports to Dnipro-Liska, Zaporizhia, and Kharkiv will cost $1950 for a 20-foot container and $2600 for a 40-foot container. Export rates for these terminals will be $2100 and $2600, respectively.

For Klevan, import rates are set at $1800/2300 and export rates at $2000/2200. For Vinnytsia, they are $1800/2300 and $2100/2200, respectively.

Estimated transit times vary from two days to Mostysk to 14 days to Zaporizhia and Kharkiv.

The base rate includes rail delivery, inland terminal handling, security escort, transport document processing and T1 registration.

Maersk has also published rates for additional First Mile / Last Mile road delivery. Depending on the distance up to 500 km, it will cost from $330 to $1,410 per container, including VAT.

For dangerous goods, a surcharge is provided: $150 per container for rail transportation and $100 for road transportation.

The new import rates will apply to applications for which a Delivery Order has been received since October 1, and export rates will apply to applications with a release for equipment from the same date.
