Ukrzaliznytsia has limited grain transportation to Reni, as well as Romania and Moldova

From November 3, Ukrzaliznytsia has introduced restrictions on the use of its own grain carriers on certain routes to the Danube port of Reni, as well as to Romania and Moldova.
This is evidenced by the data of the list of conventional restrictions on the official website of Ukrzaliznytsia.
According to the orders of October 30, the bans apply to grain carriers owned by JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” with the sign “UTLC” (Ukrainian Transport Logistics Center).
In particular, in accordance with the order of CD/94, restrictions were introduced for transportation in the specified wagons to the stations of Reni and Reni-naliv in the Odesa region.
Another order, CD/93, extends the ban to transportation through the stations of Reni-export, Reni-export (CFR), Reni-naliv and Reni-port-export in the directions of Ukraine, Moldova and Romania.
In addition, Ukrzaliznytsia has restricted the use of UTLC grain carriers in the direction of Romania through the Vadul-Siret border crossing. The relevant restrictions are provided for in the orders of CD/91 and CD/92.
At the same time, certain exceptions are provided for the Vadul-Siret direction. In particular, acceptance for transportation of wagons and cargo with a gauge of 1435 mm is allowed, as well as loading from the Vadul-Siret station.
Conventional restrictions apply to all consignees, but apply only to a certain category of wagons – Ukrzaliznytsia grain carriers with the “UTLC” sign.
All of the above prohibitions came into force on November 3, 2026 and will be in effect until canceled. The reasons for introducing restrictions in the list of Ukrzaliznytsia are not specified.
Earlier, USM reported that only 10 thousand tons of grain were delivered to the ports of Odessa by rail per month.
