Ukraine will reduce the area under crops because of the war

The sown area in Ukraine for sunflower may be reduced this year to the lowest level in 13 years.

We are talking about an area of approximately 4.2-4.4 million hectares, which is 35% less than the area under sunflower sowing in 2021, APK-Inform reports.

This decline is due to the fact that the most active hostilities are now taking place in the main regions of sunflower cultivation: in Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
