“Customs visa-free” has started working in Ukraine: cargo shipments have started

In Ukraine, the “customs visa-free” system with the European Union has become operational – one of the key directions of building a convenient and transparent customs office in Ukraine.

Germany became the first country from which cargo was sent to Ukraine under the joint transit procedure, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine reports.

Ukraine also sent goods under the joint transit procedure for delivery to Germany.

The provisions of the Convention on the joint transit procedure entered into force for Ukraine on October 1. On the same day, the first T1 transit declaration was sent from Germany to Ukraine. Customs officials already see it in the NCTS electronic transit system and are waiting for the truck to arrive. According to the declaration, the cargo goes through Poland to Germany.

Currently, the system is also awaiting the arrival of goods at the customs office of departure and other declarations, according to which the goods will be placed under the common transit procedure and delivered to the customs offices of destination in the territory of the countries participating in the Convention.

With the receipt of “customs visa-free” by Ukraine, the possibility of international movement of goods with 35 other participating countries under one transit document has opened up for business.

For the delivery of goods from one country to another, a single transit document is submitted: from the customs office of departure to the customs office of destination. This speeds up customs formalities at the border and reduces related costs for businesses.
