Two ships collided in the waters of Turkey, one of them was going to Ukraine.
On Sunday, October 16, the bulk carrier New Horizon collided with the ship Lady Nurgul. The accident happened in the Sea of Marmara near Istanbul, writes Fleetmon.
New Horizon was heading to the Black Sea to Ukraine to load grain, Lady Nurgul to Italy. Both vessels were damaged and anchored.
New Horizon (IMO:9290701) is a bulk carrier under the flag of Panama. Built in 2004. Deadweight — 77,834 tons. The shipowner is Taho maritime (Taiwan).
Lady Nurgul (IMO:9361263) is a bulk carrier under the flag of Panama. Built in 2006. Deadweight — 4250 tons. The shipowner is GN Maritime&Trading (Malta).
