The sixth ship for the UN is loaded with grain in the port of Chornomorsk


The sixth cargo chartered by the UN World Food Program is being loaded in the port of Chornomorsk. Bulker will deliver grain to Asia.

The bulk carrier Pangeo, which became the sixth vessel chartered by the UN, is being loaded in the Black Sea port. It will deliver 40,000 tons of wheat to the people of Yemen, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reports.

The first five ships delivered more than 120,000 tons of wheat to Ethiopia, Somalia, Yemen and Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, 51,400 tons of Ukrainian wheat is being unloaded from the Super Henry bulker in Kenya. This is the first ship among those that have already exported wheat for the needs of this country.

For the moment, more than 4.3 million tons of agricultural products have been exported to the countries of Africa and Asia thanks to the “grain corridor”.

Also, four more ships with 50,000 tons of grain left the ports of Great Odesa on Tuesday, October 18.

In total, over 2.5 months, 353 vessels have already exported more than 7.8 million tons of agricultural products from Ukraine.

The bulk carrier Pangeo (IMO:9467873) is sailing under the flag of Liberia. The ship was built in 2009. Deadweight — 57,000 tons. The shipowner is Remi Maritime (Greece).

The bulk carrier Super Henry (IMO: 9407483) is sailing under the flag of Panama. The ship was built in 2008. Deadweight — 55430 tons. The shipowner is Diligent Holdings (Greece).
