UZ increased the estimated speed of transportation of grain trucks in the direction of ports

“Ukrzaliznytsia” has increased the estimated movement speeds for specialized rolling stock in February 2023 in the direction of ports.

It has been confirmed that from February 9 to 28, the “Average speed of transportation of the Carrier’s own wagon in one day” for the carrier’s grain trucks in export traffic through sea ports (except the port of Reni) for wagon/container shipment is set at the level of 134 km/day. As part of a route or container train, it is set at the level of 206 km/day, reports Rail.insider.

Previously, the corresponding indicators were equal to 124 km/day.

“The change in speed in the direction of the ports significantly reduces the cost of general logistics by approximately 7-9%,” commented Valery Tkachev, Deputy Director of the Department of Commercial Work of the UZ.
