Anti-Corruption Court will choose a precautionary measure against the former Minister of Infrastructure on March 6
Next Monday, March 6, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court will consider the case of former Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Andriy Pivovarskyi.
The Anti-Corruption Court has scheduled a hearing on issues related to the selection of a preventive measure in the case of former Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Andrii Pyvovarskyi for Monday, March 6. Pivovarsky himself announced the date and time of the meeting on Facebook.
According to him, he did not find grounds for accusations against him in the case file.
“None of the documents received from NABU contain evidence that I committed any corrupt act. A logical question arises – why was the suspicion handed to me? I will get the answer to this question after March 6,” the ex-minister commented.
As previously reported by USM, NABU and SAP recently informed the ex-Minister of Infrastructure Andriy Pyvovarsky about the suspicion of abuses, due to which the state suffered losses of more than $30 million.
According to the investigation, in July 2015, the then minister together with his deputy (at that time also the head of the Tariff Council of the Ministry of Infrastructure) ensured the adoption of an order, according to which the shipping fee from ships in the “Pivdennyi” seaport together with the State Enterprise “USPA” began to be collected and private company (50/50). Whereas, according to the law, the collection of such a fee is the exclusive prerogative of a state-owned enterprise as a user of the water area of the port, which belongs to the state.
