IMO introduced changes regarding the certification of Ukrainian seamen

Ukrainian seafarers can verify documents at the Shipping Administration.
On the official website of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), changes were made regarding the verification of seafarers’ qualification documents. These changes correspond to the current graduation procedure in Ukraine, the head of the Shipping Administration Yevhenii Ignatenko said on Facebook.
To check the validity of Ukrainian seamen’s documents, on the IMO website in the “Certificate Verification” section, select and click on “Ukraine” among other countries.
Next, sailors will receive information that the only way to verify documents is by sending them to the e-mail address: [email protected].
At the same time, sailors who received documents through the Sailor’s Office before 2023 and are currently on a voyage must also undergo document verification. To do this, you need to send documents to the e-mail address of the Shipping Administration.
