Special equipment will appear in Ukraine for the elimination of pollution in ports

USPA signed an agreement with the European Maritime Safety Agency. According to it, Ukraine will receive specialized equipment for the elimination of pollution in the water areas of sea ports.

The signing of this agreement is the result of negotiations that continued throughout 2022, the USPA press service reported.

“We are grateful to the European Maritime Safety Agency for its support and hope for further cooperation, because we have one goal – to prevent the potential risks of environmental disasters that may have a cross-border impact due to the pollution of the water areas of seaports. The provided equipment for the localization and elimination of pollution will significantly update and strengthen our means for responding to pollution in the Black Sea,” said Andrii Kreitor, Deputy Head of State Enterprise “USPA”, during the signing of the agreement.

In turn, the Director of the European Maritime Safety Agency Maia Markovchych Kostelac emphasized the importance of further productive cooperation with the Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine within the framework of projects implemented by the European Maritime Safety Agency.
