A bulk carrier with a record deadweight is loaded in the Reni port


Dry cargo Cape Scott with a record deadweight for the Danube of 28,747 tons came to be loaded with grain.

The bulk carrier was moored with the help of tugs. The vessel called at the terminal of AP Trading Ukraine LLC to load grain on July 13, USM reports.

The deadweight of the Cape Scott bulker is 28,747 tons, which is currently a record for Danube ports.

16,800 tons of barley are loaded onto the ship, which arrived from the Turkish port of Samsun. The grain is exported to Spain.

According to USM, the bulker is loaded by the direct method at a rate of 5,000 tons per day. The download is scheduled to be completed today, July 17.

The infrastructure of the terminal allows you to load grain with a productivity of 500 tons per hour.

We will remind you that at the terminal “AP Trading Ukraine” the draft of its own berth is 7-7.10 meters.

Currently, the Cape Scott is the largest vessel that can pass through the Sulina Channel.

The bulk carrier Cape Scott (IMO:9159737) is sailing under the flag of Belize (Central America). The ship was built in 1997. The length of the dry cargo is 176.2 meters.

Previously, USM reported that on July 21, a bulk carrier with a deadweight of almost 24,000 tons entered Izmail port for loading.
