A crane operator posted a video from the port of Odesa on TikTok and ended up in pretrial detention

The tower crane operator filmed the port infrastructure of Odesa and posted the videos on TikTok.

This was reported by Dumskaya with reference to the decision of the Primorsky District Court of Odesa.

The crane operator, while at work in the port of Odesa, filmed the berths and the military guarding the city. He then posted the videos on TikTok, where they collected almost 100 thousand views.

The Odessa resident was sent to a pre-trial detention center for spreading information about the location of ships of the Ukrainian Navy and other port infrastructure.

The case materials indicate that the man adhered to anti-Ukrainian ideology and was a supporter of “the annexation of the territory of Ukraine to the Russian Federation.”

It is also known that the blogger has health problems, supports two minor children and a retired mother, and he allegedly committed the crime out of negligence.

The man is charged with a criminal offense under Part 2 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized dissemination of information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, if their identification is possible on the ground).

The Odesa resident faces five to eight years in prison. Currently, the court has left him in a pre-trial detention center for 60 days with the possibility of bail in the amount of UAH 121,000.

Earlier, USM reported that the SBU detained a woman who was planning a terrorist attack near the port of Odesa.
