A grain trader from Switzerland resumed work at the Port of Pivdennyi

The Swiss company Qortia AG loaded the first ship in 2024 in the port of Pivdennyi.

The vessel Bereket M was loaded with 21.5 thousand tons of Ukrainian corn for Turkey, Latifundist writes.

This bulker became the first this year that the company independently loaded in a deep-sea Ukrainian port.

“Since the founding of the company six years ago, Qortia AG has been actively engaged in transportation from Ukraine by deep-sea routes. However, after the Russian invasion, we focused mostly on the development of river transport and transshipment in the ports of the Danube cluster, where the company’s share reached 15% of the market. Qortia AG has now returned to deepwater operations,” the company said.

The bulk carrier Bereket M (IMO:9123702) is sailing under the flag of Panama. The ship was built in 1997. Deadweight — 23407 tons.
