About five ships are waiting to pass near Sulina and Bystre


As of June 29, there are about five vessels near the Sulina and Bystre canals, and about ten more vessels are heading to Ukrainian seaports.

This was reported by Avalon Shipping Operations Manager Kateryna Kononenko.

Recall that today, June 29, is International Danube Day. According to Kononenko, despite the challenges, Danube ports continue to operate and retain strategic importance for trade and logistics in the region.

According to her, there are about five vessels in the roadstead near Sulina and Bystre. About ten vessels are heading to Ukrainian seaports.

The maximum safe draft for passage through Sulina is 7.01 m, for Bystre – 5.5 m. In the Izmail – 44th mile section, the maximum safe draft is 7.5 m.
