Almost 11.5 million tons of cargo were transported through railway crossings with Poland in eight months

In January-August, 11.47 million tons of cargo were transported through Ukrainian-Polish railway border crossings, which is 4% less than in the same period last year.

In the export connection, 6.51 million tons of cargo were transported through crossings with Poland, and in the import connection – 4.96 million tons.
The largest volumes fell on meal and cake – 2.37 million tons, ore – 2.12 million tons, mineral building materials – 908 thousand tons, ferrous metals – 888 thousand tons and grain – 754 thousand tons.
Almost half of the total cargo flow was provided by the Izov-Hrubeszów crossing – 5.53 million tons. At the same time, this figure is 13% lower than last year.
3.49 million tons were transported through Mostyska II—Medica, which is 13% more year-on-year. 2.38 million tons were transported through Yagodyn—Dorohusk, or 9% more.
The largest drop was recorded at the Rava-Ruska—Verkhrata crossing: the volume of transportation decreased by 70%, to 74 thousand tons.
As previously reported, Ukraine expects to increase exports through Polish ports.
