Another “Kalibr” carrier accepted into the Russian fleet
The Russian Black Sea Fleet has received a new “Kalibr” carrier – the small missile and artillery ship “Tucha”.
A ceremony was held in Kaspiysk to accept the small missile ship “Tucha” of project 22800 into the Russian Navy, writes Militarnyi.
The ship was assigned to the Black Sea Fleet, namely to the 41st Sevastopol Order of Nakhimov Brigade of Missile Ships and Boats.
The ship was built at the Zelenodolsk plant, which is located in Tatarstan. According to the Russian side, the ship was laid down on February 26, 2019, and launched in June 2023.

“Tucha” is one of the ships of the new project 22800 (code “Karakurt”), which the Russians have been building since 2015. These are multi-purpose missile and artillery ships of small displacement of the near sea zone.
Project 22800 is primarily a platform for launching cruise missiles. The ship is equipped with a vertical launcher with eight cells for Kalibr-NK cruise missiles.
In addition, the ship can carry Onyx anti-ship missiles and Tsyrcon hypersonic missiles.
