At the Peace Summit, Ukraine’s position on port protection was supported
Leaders of countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America have confirmed that full-scale war has caused food prices to rise in their countries.
The participants of the International Peace Summit in Switzerland agreed with the importance of supporting global food security. This was stated by the Minister of Economy, Yulia Svyridenko, Ukrinform writes .
“This is a point on which there is a common position of all participants that food security cannot be used as a weapon. Everyone unanimously supported Ukraine’s position that seaports should be protected, navigation should be free and our farmers should have access to financial resources,” the Minister emphasized.
At the same time, the heads of states of Africa, Asia and Latin America confirmed that Russia’s war against Ukraine caused the increase in world food prices.
Among the proposals supported by the participants of the Peace Summit are the protection of Ukrainian ports, demining of sea lanes and ensuring stable navigation.
The day before, USM wrote that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made changes to the legislation related to shipping.
