Croatia supports Ukraine in exporting grain to Europe
The Minister of Agriculture of Croatia, Maria Vuckovich, believes that Ukrainian farmers should export as much grain as necessary.
The Minister of Agricultural Policy of Ukraine, Mykola Solsky, held an online meeting with the Minister of Agriculture of Croatia, Marie Vuchkovyk. The parties discussed the situation regarding restrictions on the export of Ukrainian agricultural products to Europe.
The minister expressed full support and noted that Croatia understands Ukraine well.
“Ms. Maria Vuchkovyk expressed the need to find a solution so that Ukrainian farmers can work and export grain as much as necessary. Therefore, restrictions on the export of agricultural products to Europe should not be extended,” the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine notes.

Croatia was also one of the signatories of the appeal to the European Commission from relevant ministers of 14 EU countries. In the letter, the signatories expressed concern over the introduction of a temporary ban on the import of agricultural products from Ukraine to five EU countries and called on the European Commission to explain such a decision.
As previously reported by USM, on May 22, 2023, Slovakia canceled restrictions on grain imports from Ukraine.
