Drones attacked the Tuapse refinery again


A fire broke out again in the company’s tank farm just a few days after the previous attack.

On the night of April 28, drones again attacked an oil refinery in Tuapse, Krasnodar Territory, Russia. The BBC reports this with reference to local authorities.

As a result of the strike, fuel tanks caught fire. 122 rescuers and 39 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.

Against the backdrop of the attack, Rosaviatsia temporarily closed the airports of Sochi, Gelendzhik, and Krasnodar. Local residents reported numerous explosions and a large-scale fire.

According to OSINT analysts, only four days have passed since the previous major fire at the Tuapse refinery was extinguished. According to preliminary information, the current strike fell on a tank farm near the ELOU-AVT-12 unit.

Recall that as a result of the previous hit, smoke from the fire at the Tuapse refinery stretched for more than 300 km.
