Former Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov will become an advisor to the Minister of Defense


Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov has appointed former head of the Ministry of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov as his advisor on a voluntary basis.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced this on Facebook.

“His experience as Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure, and Head of Ukravtodor is important and will help improve the supply and logistics system in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Umerov noted.

Oleksandr Kubrakov also commented on the appointment, noting that supporting the front and the military “has been and remains a priority for him, regardless of his position and current place of work.”

“Now, in cooperation with representatives of the Subcommittee on Security and Defense of the European Parliament, with the involvement of Ukrainian government officials, Ukrainian MPs, heads of state institutions in the defense industry, the military, representatives of public and private manufacturing companies, the public and volunteers, we are preparing proposals for reforming the sector to attract investments, create conditions for concluding long-term contracts, create international partnerships and consortia, and protect intellectual property,” said Kubrakov.

According to the former minister, the plan is to present the results in the first quarter of this year. Earlier, USM reported that Oleksandr Kubrakov was dismissed from the post of Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction – Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development.
