Freight rates for “handysizes” in the ports of Great Odesa are falling

The lack of activity in the market and the reduced demand for sea transportation affect the decrease in the value of shipments.

The reduced demand for exports from the ports of Ukraine and the lack of activity in the market led to a decrease in bids for “handysizes” and barges. Spike Brokers write about it.

Instead, the freight rates of “Panamax” and “Coaster” remain at the level of the previous week.

So, the cost of cargo shipments from Danube ports is:

• Izmail — Constanta: 10 euros (1-3 thousand tons);

• Izmail — Ruse: 16 euros (1-3 thousand tons);

• Izmail — school. coast of Greece: 20-21 dollars (5-7 thousand tons);

• Reni — Marmara: 17-19 dollars (5-7 thousand tons).

Vessel freight rates from the port of Chornomorsk reach the following indicators:

• in the direction of Spain: 22-24 dollars (30-35 thousand tons);

• to St. coast of Italy: 20-22 dollars (30-35 thousand tons);

• to southern China: 50-52 dollars (60-65 thousand tons);

• to southern Vietnam: 46-47 dollars (60-65 thousand tons).

Recently, USM wrote that the ports of Great Odesa unload more than 1,100 wagons with grain.
