Freight rates in the Black Sea continue to fall
The increase in the supply of free tonnage in the Black Sea contributed to the decrease in the cost of transportation from the ports of Odesa.
Tariffs for the transportation of goods by vessels of the “handy size” class in the direction of the Eastern Mediterranean decreased by another $2 per ton. Spike Brokers write about it.
The cost of delivering goods from the Danube ports to Marmara has decreased by $1 per ton. The direction of the eastern Mediterranean was also reduced by 1 dollar per ton, to the east coast of Italy and Spain – by 1-2 dollars per ton, to Israel – by 3 dollars per ton. Barge freight rates also remain stably low.
The owners of “Panamax” managed to stabilize tariffs — in the directions of southern China, southern Vietnam and Bangladesh.
Market rates of transportation from river ports:
• Izmail — Constanta (1-3 thousand tons) — 9-10 euros;
• Izmail — Ruse/Silistra (1-3 thousand tons) — 15 euros;
• Izmail— Israel (5-7 thousand tons) — 25-26 dollars;
• Reni — Marmara (5-7 thousand tons) — 16-17 dollars.
Market rates for transportation from the port of Chornomorsk to the Eastern Mediterranean (30-35 thousand tons) are $21-23; to China (60-65 thousand tons) — 54-56 dollars, to Bangladesh (60-65 thousand tons) — 55-56 dollars.
