Grain exports by rail increased at all western crossings in June

According to the results of the nine days of June, the volume of grain cargo transfer through all railway border crossings of Ukraine increased.

This was discussed during an online meeting of representatives of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” with participants in the agricultural market, reports Rail.insider.

The largest volumes of Ukrainian grain acceptance were recorded in the Hungarian direction. On average, 62 wagons were transferred through crossings with Hungary per day, which is 11.4 wagons more compared to May.

Significant growth was also observed in the Slovak direction. On average, 34.4 wagons with grain were transferred through Ukrainian-Slovak crossings per day in June, which is 21 wagons more than in the previous month.

On the border with Poland, the average daily transfer of grain was 23.6 wagons. Compared to May, the figure increased by 10.2 wagons.

An average of 2.3 wagons were transported through the Ukrainian-Romanian border crossings per day, which is 1.3 wagons more than in May.

The growth in transportation occurs against the backdrop of increased grain exports at the end of the marketing year and the preservation of the high role of western logistics corridors in the supply of Ukrainian agricultural products to foreign markets.
