Grain transshipment volume increased in three ports of Ukraine


Ukrainian ports handled 31.1 million tons of grain in nine months. 

In the nine months of 2021, Ukrainian seaports handled 31.5 million tons of cereals, of which 31.1 million tons of grain, which is 10% less than last year. Only three Ukrainian ports managed to increase the volume of transshipment, the press service of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority reports.

Among the ports that managed to increase the volume of transshipment were:

  • Ust-Dunaisk seaport – 35 thousand tons;
  • Reni seaport – 442 thousand tons;
  • Specialized seaport Olvia – 1.6 million tons.

In September, seaports reduced the negative dynamics of grain shipments by 6.2%. At the same time, grain accounted for 29.3% of the total transshipment of port enterprises.
