Hetmantsev: Thanks to the maritime corridor, Ukraine has increased metal exports
The metallurgical industry of Ukraine is gradually recovering after the start of the alternative sea corridor.
According to the results of the 1st quarter, the production of cast iron increased by 32.1% compared to last year. This was announced by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev.
The production volumes of rolled products increased by 35.5%, steel – by 36.6%. The indicators of the export of metal products have also significantly improved.
Thus, thanks to the launch of the alternative sea corridor, the volume of exports of metal products increased by 161.8%, reaching 1,029 thousand tons.
USM recently wrote that the metallurgical industry of Ukraine is stabilizing thanks to the work of the maritime corridor.
