In Mykolaiv, a man who was spying on the marines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was detained

The Security Service of Ukraine detained an FSB agent in Mykolaiv who was spying on the Marine units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The attacker was spying on units of Ukrainian troops defending the port city, the SBU reported.

The collaborator was interested in the bases of the Marines of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as logistics centers with weapons and ammunition.

The man the Russians tapped to gather intelligence is a former local inmate who spent nearly 20 years behind bars for murder, robbery and robbery. After the suspect was released, an FSB employee approached him through messengers and offered paid cooperation.

The agent developed a “cover” – he got a job at a local delivery service, where he traveled around the regional center on a scooter under the guise of a courier, recorded military objects and shared data with the Russian curator.

The SBU exposed the collaborator in advance, documented his criminal actions and detained him while he was conducting reconnaissance near a potential target.

So far, SBU investigators have informed him of the suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason under martial law). The man faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

USM previously reported that the Security Service detained a female collaborator who was correcting missile strikes on Ochakov and its water area.
