In September, seaports of Ukraine processed 7 million tons of cargo
Cargo turnover of ports in September is almost twice as high as in the same period last year.
This is reported by the Ukrainian Sea Port Authority.
From January to September 2024, Ukrainian seaports handled 74 million tons of cargo. This is significantly more compared to the same period last year, when the volume was 41.1 million tons.
A significant part of the cargo turnover — 46.3 million tons — is made up of agricultural products.
September 2024 showed an increase in cargo handled to 7 million tons, almost double the figures of September last year, when the ports handled 3.4 million tons.
It should be noted that the agricultural sector remains the export leader, in particular, 4.1 million tons of agricultural products were delivered to international markets in September.
As previously reported by USM, Ukraine plans to export 43.2 million tons of grain in total in the 2024/25 marketing year.
