In September, Ukrainian ports processed 1.3 million tons of ore cargo


In total, the cargo turnover of sea ports of Ukraine in September amounted to 7.1 million tons.

This is reported by the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.

Thus, according to the results of September 2024, 7.1 million tons of cargo were processed by the ports, which is more than two times higher than the similar indicator of 2023 of 3.4 million tons.

Grain and ore cargoes became the leaders of cargo turnover – 4.1 million tons (versus 2.3 million tons in 2023) and 1.3 million tons (versus 249 thousand tons in 2023), respectively.

Cargo traffic through the sea corridor in September amounted to 6 million tons, of which 3.6 million tons were produced by Ukrainian farmers.

It should be noted that in January – September 2024, the ports of Ukraine processed 74.2 million tons (against 41.1 million tons last year). In particular, 8,630 ships have already been processed, against 11,038 in 2023.

We will remind that in the first 10 days of October, 2.1 million tons of products were exported through the maritime corridor, of which 1.5 million tons were grain. For comparison, in October 2023, 1.9 million tons were exported through the ports.
