In the direction of the ports of Great Odesa, there was a significant decrease in the number of grain wagons
Over the past week, a decrease in the number of grain cargoes sent by rail to the seaports of Ukraine has been recorded.
Throughout August, the rate of daily unloading of wagons with grain in the ports of Great Odesa fluctuates in the range of 900-1100 wagons per day, the representative of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” Valerii Tkachev said.
Over the last week, the indicator decreased by 92 cars or -7.86%.
“The number of wagons with grain moving in the direction of the ports of Great Odesa decreased (from 4,887 wagons to 4,030 wagons). In particular, the availability of wagons decreased by -857 wagons or -17.54% over the last week,” the report says.
Over the last week, the load in the direction of the ports decreased by -428 wagons/day or -34.21%.
At the same time, in the direction of the port of Izmail, the accumulation of wagons is recorded – +77 wagons or +20.53% (from 375 wagons to 452 wagons). The average daily rate of unloading of wagons with grain in the port of Izmail is -54 wagons per day, during the week the indicator decreased by -6 wagons / day or -10.0%.
The company emphasized that over the past week, they have recorded a decrease in the load of grain cargoes on the UZ network.
It will be recalled that since the beginning of the year, “Ukrzaliznytsia” has sent over 24.33 million tons of grain cargoes for export.
